Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll is the main photosynthetic pigment of plants, is a class of lipid-containing pigment family, located in the thylakoid membrane.

Chlorophyll absorbs most of the red and violet light but reflects green light, so the chlorophyll green, it plays a central role in the absorption of light in photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is magnesium porphyrin compounds, including chlorophyll a, b, c, d, f and the original bacterial chlorophyll and chlorophyll.
